birthday boy

just sharing a few pics from our little birthday celebration on tuesday.

since owen loved his first cupcake so much, we decided to get him another one for his actual birthday. and as you can see, he couldn't get enough of this one, either.

once the sugar set in, he got a little crazy.

and of course, he made a huge mess and had to be stripped down.

and given a bath.
(which i dont think he minded too much.)

and finally, he got to open his presents.
and of course, he had the most fun with the wrapping paper.

 such a perfectly fun day.

and on another note...i have a quick update...this morning, owen walked clear across the living room and dining room, taking probably over 30 steps in a row.  and all day long, hes been standing up on his own and squatting down to pick up toys.  hes on a roll.

and one last thing...we have to send belated birthday blog wishes out to owen's uncle jonah + uncle douggie, who both had birthdays this month. love ya guys.
