11 months. (tomorrow.)

so heres a look at our little dude at 11 months old:
-hes cruising.
-hes climbing.
-hes taking a few steps.
-hes clapping his little hands.
-he can stand all by himself.
-he loves to push his new gobble and go hippo all around the house.
-he really loves to walk around while holding onto our hand.
-he stands on his tippy toes to see things at the table.
-he gives kisses. real big wet ones.
-he has one little tooth. and a really close second.
-he loves cereal bars and veggie crackers.
-he is starting to reject his dinners and veggies. 
-he says + understands the words "momma" and "dada."
-he knows the words "clap," "cookie," "kisses," and "shake."
-he loves his knit monkey.
-he dances when he hears music.
-and he crinkles his little nose when he smiles.

such a big month for little owen. (and for his mommy and daddy too.) so many fun things happening + so many big changes....we can hardly keep up.

just a few pictures from our christmas morning...

santa sure was good to owen, delivering one big green comfy chair made just for him. and in his stocking...owen found two new board books, a jumping kangaroo, a roll-a-round action airplane, some outer space bath squirts, and a maraca. he must have been a pretty good little boy. thanks, santa!

and from his mommy and daddy...owen unwrapped a gobble and go hippo, an incrediblock, a set of alphablocks, a bucket of beads, and two water drums. such a fun christmas!

first steps.

just wanted to post a quick update to let everyone know that owen took five steps all on his own tonight.  such a fun little christmas gift for his mom and dad.

heres a few pics from owen's very first christmas eve...

he got to unwrap one of his big presents from adam and i, along with his new christmas eve pajamas. and as usual, he had a blast playing with all the wrapping paper. but i think he had the most fun pushing his new gobble and go hippo all around the house. 
cant wait to see what santa brings.

christmas with the lang family

we had a super busy, fun filled, snowy weekend. aunt crystal, uncle barry, trevor, and uncle douggie came into town for a visit. and since this was the only weekend we could all be together, we decided to celebrate christmas a little early.

it started on friday night, with the boys opening their presents from great grandma ann. they had so much fun playing with the wrapping paper. and owen loved his new zoo train and all of the extra little animals and carts that went with it. thanks so much, grandma ann...wish you could have been here to help us celebrate owens first christmas. heres a few pics (courtesy of grandma bonnie)...


then on saturday morning, the boys got to open their presents from grandma bonnie and grandpa doug. they loved riding around in their new radio flyer wagons. and they got sooooo many fun new toys...they're going to be be busy for awhile. thanks, mom and dad, for everything. heres a few pics from our saturday morning celebration...



then on saturday afternoon, we all headed to chicago for the holiday celebration at macys on state street/marshall fields. we visited with santa, saw the 45 foot great christmas tree, and enjoyed the nutcracker animated window story. we even got a little last minute shopping done. it certainly was an adventure...to say the least. heres a few pics...


and finally...on sunday, we headed to aunt kathy's house for some more christmas fun. all the kids exchanged gifts and we had a great time.

just another quick update...

to let you know that owen is now an official stair climber. on sunday, he made it up two stairs for the very first time. and then on monday, he climbed up five stairs before i got nervous and made him get down. i guess its time to break out those baby gates.

all i want for christmas is my two front teeth.

just a quick update to let you know that owen had his very first tooth peek through this morning. (and just in time for christmas.) no fever + no fussiness. i think hes doing pretty well.

and on friday, he began walking across the room while holding onto only one hand for support. he absolutely loves it + laughs the whole time.
