haven't done one of these in awhile.

heres a list of some of my favorite toddler + baby products, many of which are eco-friendly:

1- sprig toys. these are seriously the coolest. battery free. kid powered. and made from recycled plastics and reclaimed pine sawdust. and best of all...owen loves his new discovery rig.

2- green toys. another cool company. all of their products are made from recycled milk jugs. 

3- uglydolls. most of you know that we have been a fan of these guys for quite some time now. owen's favorite, big toe, is pictured in the previous post.

4- nissalissa. incredibly cute handmade monster wear. owen has his very own leonard the monster tee.

5- aden + anais. muslin baby wraps. perfect for swaddling.

6- babyhawk mei tais. love these. you can even design your own.

7- green to grow. seriously cute bpa and phthalate free baby bottles. 

8- bambu kids. bamboo plates and utensils made especially for toddlers and kids.

9- ecokids. all natural playdough and fingerpaints. they even have a bamboo rolling pin.

10- stubby pencil studio. eco-friendly art and craft supplies. love the crayon rocks and the art smock made from recycled juice boxes.

ten on tuesday.

1. if you haven't already heard of the bento box lunch craze, you have to go check out laptop lunches. its such a cool concept...absolutely no waste and a simple method for packing healthy, balanced lunches.

2. and while you're surfing the web, cruise on over to etsy.com. the site is full of some seriously fun + creative handmade goods. (many of which are made by work at home moms.)

3. if you're local and looking for something fun to do with the kiddos, the town of valpo has started hosting 'downtown movie nights.' next up..SHREK. tonight at dusk on the west side of the courthouse. (thanks for the tip, kath.)

4. are you thinking about halloween yet? you bet we are...owen's halloween costume has already been picked out. all i can tell you is that he's gonna be cute + creepy. :)

5. i finally found a homemade playdough recipe that i love. no sticky residue, a cinch to make, and tons of fun. if you want to give it a try, you can find the recipe here. 

6. if you're like me and the thought of a germy toothbrush is just too much, you have to check out these super cute flipper toothbrush holders. owen would love to have the panda, and i think adam would like to have one of the dinos for himself.

7. owen has outgrown all of his current shoes and we're getting ready to order a new pair. what do you think of these little pumas?

8. i've already started hammering out the details for owen's second party. (i know, its still 6 months away. i will admit...i tend to get a little crazy with the party planning.) but its gonna be fun. 

9. we gotta send some love to the grandparents. thanks to grandma jan + grandpa scott for the new little adidas soccer ball. its a hit. and thanks to grandma bonnie and grandpa doug for the new books. he loves them all. 

10. and last but not least, grandpa scott will be celebrating the big 5-0 this saturday. can't wait to party with you, old man. :)

ten on tuesday.

1. our 4th anniversary is just around the corner, and we have been making plans to celebrate. (redamacks + new buffalo here we come.)
2. batman :the dark night is going to be at the 49er drive in this weekend. and we're getting pretty psyched to see it. (i know, we're dorks.)
3. we have become addicted to the tv show, the office. and have watched all four seasons in just a matter of couple weeks. (remember...we don't have cable, people.)
4. our house is still in the middle of some major work. and my garage is stocked full of the supplies...shingles, siding, gutters, pavers, bricks, and more. (have i mentioned how handsome AND handy my husband is?)
5. i've actually been grocery shopping, recipe surfing, and cooking. (i know, can you even believe it? and the meals have actually been turning out pretty good.)
6. kati + ryan are here visiting. and missy + stella will be here next week. love those friends. and can't wait for our beach day.
7. i have been spending all my free time reading and soaking up as much as i can about photography. and practicing as much as possible.
8. we're trying to work up the courage to allow owen to have his first spend-a-night with the grandparents. 
9. my mom + dad celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary last week. (love you two.)
10. and if you have kidlets, go check out super why at pbskids. its a fun little show about going on reading adventures and having the power to read. (how cool is that!)
